Warm Cinnamon Sticks with Vanilla Glaze

DSC02140

Doesn’t the title say enough?  Why wouldn’t you want something that is described as “warm” “cinnamon” and “glazed”?

Those are three good things all rolled together in one.

Last weekend Brandon and I were pretty burned out from our week at school and work.  So we decided on a pizza/TV night.  Brandon made some BBQ chicken pizza and I whipped up these babies and we watched The Office reruns.  The definition of our perfect night.

Yep.  That’s a good thing.  And they’re soooo easy.  They took about 15 minutes to throw together.  Including baking time.

Hells yeah.  That’s my kind of quick and easy dessert.

Also, what’s up with me and the slang lately?  Hells yeah?  Hollah?

Must be all this delicious food getting to my head.

Cinnamon Sticks Ingredients:

1 pizza dough (needs to be prebaked.  I used Pillsbury but will try a homemade recipe next time)

1/4 c. butter, melted

1/4 c. sugar

1/4 c. brown sugar

2 tsp. cinnamon

Dash salt

Glaze Ingredients:

1/2 c. powdered sugar, sifted

2-3 Tbs. milk (to make it slightly runny)

1/4 tsp. vanilla extract

Dash salt

Preheat oven to 350* F.  Roll pizza dough on a lightly greased cookie sheet.

Mix together sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.

Brush pizza dough with butter.  Sprinkle with sugar-cinnamon mixture.

Bake for 10 minutes.  Cut into “sticks”.

Done!

To make glaze, mix all ingredients together.  Drizzle over cinnamon sticks.

Drizzle it real good.

Eat them.  Watch a movie.  Be happy for forever.
